A Google Image search for Naked Yoga got a measly 128,000 returned results, with safe search turned off. Since Yoga seems to been done wearing skin tight Lycra anyway, it was a logical next step to do naked yoga. Nude yoga classes seem to be popping up everywhere. The latest story involves naked yoga in Cleveland, OH. I’ve heard of hot naked yoga, but cold naked yoga? If it were Outdoor Naked Yoga in Cleveland in December, now that would be a story.
There seems to be a lot of gay Naked Yoga, but then, there has always been that whole bathhouse connection there as well. We all like to be limber and have limber partners, gay or straight, don’t we?
I used to do Yoga and for a while was into Tai Chi, but I never did Naked Yoga or Naked Tai Chi. But then, I didn’t grow in San Fransisco, which seems to be a hotbed of Naked Yoga. Totally naked yoga makes sense as most of the poses are king of sexy- to look at anyway. Actually do the poses can be a lot of work.
As Buck Harris of Cleveland said-Naked is what gets them to the studio. Yoga is what keeps them coming back.
Yoga is as Yoga Does, so I wonder, Is Naked Yoga as Naked Yoga Does? Doesn’t have the same sound, or look. If the naked yoga classes are all filled with fit and heathly people, I don’t see anything wrong with it. I really don’t want to see Richard Simmon’s Sweating to The Oldies Naked. That would just be wrong.
