This years Superbowl kickoff time according to NBC, which is broadcasting the game, will be about 6:00 PM EST- give or take a few minutes here and there to add a couple more of those high dollars Superbowl ads that weren’t quite up to airing during the actual Superbowl game.
The 2009 Version of the Superbowl (Superbowl 43) takes places on February 1, 2009 in Tampa, Florida between the Pittsburgh Steelers & Arizona Cardinals. The National Anthem will be sung by Jennifer Hudson and the Halftime show will feature Bruce Springsteen. Let’s hope that Bruce doesn’t have any wardrobe malfunctions.
Of course, Superbowl XXX, which saw the Dallas Cowboys beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-17 was the last Superbowl that mattered. That was the last time The Dallas Cowboys appeared in a Superbowl, and it is entirely possible that the hapless Cowboys under the brilliant leadership of Owner Jerry Jones may never see another Superbowl Victory. Every game since them has just been a pale imitation of a Superbowl.
Well, last year’s Superbowl game was pretty good and I am hoping the Cardinals win this year. I’ll watch the game, mainly for the commercials, and for the excuse to snack on some quick guacamole with a bag of plain Doritos.
