Freddy: “We could hear you all banging away”
Rod: “Banging can be fun.”
Jane: “Ooooh yes, and I was banging away all last night with Rod and
Freddy.”
Rainbow was a British children’s television series, created by Pamela Lonsdale, which ran twice weekly at 12:10 on Tuesdays and Fridays on the ITV network, from 1972 to 1992.
I saw this clip on Plurk earlier and thought that it was just dead brilliant. The Wife wonders how they managed to keep straight faces throughout the sketch. Just watching it the first time I missed a few of the gags, as it is a lot of silly puppets and looks just like a normal kids show. If you write it with a bit of double entendre, it can be a lot of fun.
I’ve been writing on a few blogs the past few months, but it is a lot more work than I thought it would be. Still, I have managed, for the most part, to one rule-no double posts. But this was one time that I found something silly that seemed to good to leave one blog and not the other.
Hope you liked it as much as I did.
I don’t get it. What’s wrong with banging away, as long as you don’t miss and bang your fingers?
I’d like to bang someone’s fingers.
