A trip to the Super Bowl for the Dallas Cowboys this year seems a lot less likely than it did just a couple of weeks ago. The Dallas Cowboy’s savior Tony Romo is out for at least a month with a broken little finger. Kicker Mat McBriar is likely out for the season after the hit he took in the loss to the Cardinals-did they get rid of the Roughing The Kicker rule when I wasn’t looking? Pacman Jones has been suspended by the NFL Commissioner for acting like Pacman Jones. Rookie runner Felix Jones has a bad hamspring and won’t play for a couple of weeks. In news that is sure to make Terrell Owens happy, Jerry Jones has traded for Wide Receiver Roy Williams.
So does all this bad news mean the Dallas Cowboys season is over? Maybe not, but here is Dallas we always like to see the cup as half empty. Maybe Brad Johnson will surprise us all and be the Great Quaterback he never was. He should be able to get the ball to one of the many Dallas Cowboy receivers-the Cowboys offensive line is still in good shape. Well, at the moment the offensive line is in good shape, anyway.
The problem with the Dallas Cowboys is that they were soundly beaten twice while all the Superstar Dallas Cowboys were in good shape and doing what they normally do. If a healthy Dallas Cowboy A Team was having their hat handed to them, what will happen with the Dallas Cowboy B Team playing?
Well, I’m sure Jerry Jones can go out and find some more criminals to fill out the roster somewhere.
