ABC’s Robin Roberts has Breast Cancer at 46

Robin’s is one of those cheery happy faces we see in the morning before we go to work. As a general rule we watch these folks joke around, eat food cooked by famous chefs, talk about the latest movies and the weather, and once in a while, something serious happens to them. Cancer is a fairly common thing, and it is no longer the death sentence that it once was. Breast cancer doesn’t even mean mastectomy any more. But it is cancer, and it can still kill you. So there is reason for concern.
I’m one of those people that channel surf the morning shows, and I tend to get the faces and the networks mixed up. Good Morning American is as good as any of them and Robin can be both silly and serious as needed.
The common thread is that she announced the news with grace and style. What else did you expect? The lady has something we tend to forget exists in the world of Brittany and Lindsy-Class.
So I wish her the best. In this world where our real families are scattered to the winds, she is a part of my extended family on TV. Get well soon, Robin.
